Pork Chops with Herbs and Vermouth

This is an easy and satisfying dinner.  I served it with Trader Joe’s harvest couscous, spinach, and salad.  It is delicious.

Vermouth Pork chops

4-6 pork chops 1 inch thick ( I use boneless, but you can use bone-in)

salt

pepper

flour

paprika

1-2 Tbsp butter

fresh marjoram chopped

fresh thyme chopped

1/4-2/3 cup dry vermouth

Pre heat oven to 350.  Wipe chops dry.  Sprinkle with salt, pepper and paprika to taste, dust with flour.  I do this by doing one side prior to putting in the pan and the other side in the pan.  Melt butter in frying pan over med to medium high heat.  Brown chops on all sides.  Transfer to pyrex or casserole dish.  Sprinkle herbs over chops.  Add vermouth to pan, scraping up brown bits and cook down very briefly.  Pour over chops, cover with foil, bake 45 min to 1 hour.
